Grateful Friday

I'm grateful Miss Marilyn got to sit in "her very first car"!
(truthfully, it wasn't the actual one, but the exact model!)

What am I grateful for? Well...

I'm grateful I was able to get Morgan set up with the things she needs at camp.

I'm grateful to hear her talk about camp life (don't tell her, but she sounds like her mother!)

I'm grateful for time to just veg a bit.

I'm grateful for the wonderful time at the Lavender Festival with the Chaverim. I'm grateful for friendly vendors who enjoy shmoozin' with the festival-goers. I'm grateful for all the festival-goers that brought their dogs so we could all pet them!

I'm grateful for our time preparing food and feeding the homeless this last Sunday in downtown Tacoma. What a great opportunity to connect with people.

I'm grateful for time singing in the car with my bestest friends.

I'm grateful for really cool boots that are comfortable, too.  (There's just something about wearing cool boots that makes you feel like a million bucks.)

I'm grateful baking potatoes, canned tuna and sliced cheese...oh and for Vitamin Water. What did I ever drink before that?

I'm grateful for crockpots, hot plates and paper plates. These things make my life so much easier.

I'm grateful that it's not wintertime.

This morning I'm grateful that the trees have leaves on them. They look so much happier than when they are bare.

I'm grateful for wisdom.

I'm grateful for my quiet time in the mornings.

I'm grateful for language.

I'm grateful for the future.

I'm so, so, so grateful for the chaverim.

I'm grateful that I have an awesome Jedi costume in my possession.

I'm grateful for a nothing-on-the-schedule Tuesday.

I'm grateful for the headset for my land-line phone, enabling me to do other things while having a phone conversation.

I'm grateful for Google.

I'm grateful for my heat dish, although I not too grateful that I have to use it at the almost-end of July.

I'm grateful for beauty products like hair color, make-up remover and lip smacker.

I'm grateful that I'm forced to think of gratefuls every morning!  What an excellent exercise.

I'm grateful for the post office and all the postal workers that facilitate the mail getting to it's intended destination.

I'm grateful the LORD hasn't left me nor forsaken me.

I'm grateful for upcoming events to look forward to.

Grateful for every new day.

I'm grateful for our bible study - good stuff.  Baruch HaShem!

I'm grateful for a place to be.

I'm grateful for trust.

I'm grateful that Alex found all three cats outside when they escaped!

I'm grateful for the mundane...sometimes.  Like Thursday, which is shopping day.

I'm grateful for love and compassion.

I'm grateful for my heritage.

I'm grateful for my dear sister Laura passing her social work licensing exam!  Hurray!

I'm grateful I get to spend the day with Lisa, Laura and Patty - what a great way to start the weekend!

I'm grateful to feel wanted and needed.

I'm grateful for time to write.

I'm grateful for friends that care.

I'm grateful for sunshine this morning!

"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill.  It will make or break a company, a church, a home.

The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.  We cannot change our past, we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.  We cannot change the inevitable.  The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude.

I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it.  And so it is with you - we are in charge of our Attitudes."

I'm grateful for a box full of love . . . love of the lavender kind. Wish you could have seen everything spread out all over the vehicle as I drove away from the post office! Yum!

I'm grateful for a mind and heart that can hold memories of every kind -- not always easy, but I've got to be grateful that it is possible.

You make Fridays special for me, my friend. Keep up the gratitude!
