Grateful Friday

Beware of the door with too many keys.
~Portuguese Proverb

Have the courage to say no.
Have the courage to face the truth.
Do the right thing because it is right.
These are the magic keys to living your life with integrity.”
~W. Clement Stone

I'm so thankful for our wonderful time at Marilyn's for erev Shabbat.

I'm grateful for friends who want to gather for worship together on Shabbat.

I'm so pleased and grateful for our time Sunday at the March of Remembrance - the weather was miraculous!

I'm grateful I was able to snag some pretty good shots of the March of Remembrance and of the gorgeous spring day.  But, I wasn't grateful Morgan accidentally left her camera battery at home.  *sadness*

I'm grateful for reading glasses.

I'm grateful for butter tarts - yummy!

I'm grateful for opportunities to talk things out.

I'm grateful for sunglasses and cheap sweatshirts.

I am grateful that blisters don't last forever.

I'm grateful that justice was finally served for Usama Bin Laden and his son.

I'm grateful we were able to go see the Star Wars exhibit.  It made me remember going to see the Dead Sea Scrolls so long ago - good memories.

I am so grateful I got to spend the day with my three of my favorite people in the whole world.

I'm grateful for sleep.

I'm grateful for AAA, especially when I have a dead battery.

I'm grateful for the sun shining and the beautiful view of the mountain.

I'm grateful my daughter does things around the house to keep it clean...voluntarily.

I'm grateful for old pictures that capture precious memories.

I'm grateful for music, again.

I'm grateful that people take the time to learn instruments, practice enough to play beautifully, and for those that write the music I love so much - I'm so grateful.

I'm grateful for memories, even hard ones.

I'm grateful for my handsome prince, Rob.

I'm grateful that oil prices went down, but not so grateful that gas prices went up.

I'm not grateful for greedy politicians.

I'm grateful my computer doesn't have a virus on it at the moment.

I'm grateful that we have food in the house.

I'm grateful that my kids get along...for the most part.

I'm grateful for the internet and the opportunity to blog.

I'm grateful for my sons who are more than willing to go help someone in need.  I'm also grateful for their righteous anger when they hear of injustice.

I'm grateful for my Mom and always will be.

I'm so grateful for all the souls that want to join me prayer - it's such a blessing to me!

I'm grateful to be able to count the omer to Shavuot!

Sometimes I'm not so grateful for dreams.

I'm grateful my son was sweet enough to bring me coffee this morning.

I'm grateful for loyal friends who are not afraid to hear what I'm really thinking and are willing to help bear my burden.

I'm grateful for our Savior and redemption.

I'm grateful for the grace of others.

I'm grateful to be able to say thank you.

I'm grateful for caller ID.

I'm grateful for life.

“A catless writer is almost inconceivable. It's a perverse taste, really, since it would be easier to write with a herd of buffalo in the room than even one cat;
they make nests in the notes and bite the end of the pen and walk on the typewriter keys.”
~Barbara Holland

I'm thankful for this blog and the way it punctuates my thoughts:

• like a comma, it makes me pause

• like an exclamation point, it allows me to rejoice (or to cry out, if need be)

• like quotation marks, it focuses my attention

• like an apostrophe, it makes me feel like I belong to someone

• like parentheses, it allows me to take little rabbit trails

• like an ellipsis, it . . .

• like an emoticon, it says that companionship is good ;-), :-), :o)

• like a period, it reminds me to stop.

I love you, my friend! Thanks for blogging. ♡

I'm grateful for ramen noodles.

I'm grateful for a healthy relationship with my parents.

I'm grateful to own a dependable vehicle.

I'm grateful to have a secure job.

I'm grateful for online card catalogs at the library. Researching the obscure things I'm interested in would be aggravating otherwise.

I'm grateful for libraries that uphold the freedom of information.

I'm grateful for being in good health.

I'm still grateful for real air. I got a whiff of some stuff from the boat and was reminded of how stale and thin the air gets.

I'm grateful for an abundance of cheese in my house.
