Grateful Friday

This week I took a dear friend from our congregation to an early morning medical test at the hospital. Why they schedule them so early in the morning, I don't know, but she had to be there at 7:30am. Doesn't sound so early until you factor in getting ready and drive time.  Anyway, I'm so thankful that the hospitals have wi-fi internet! Selfish, I know.  (And, I'm grateful that I'm not the one needing the tests; I never take my health for granted, as I know it can deteriorate quickly.)

I'm always grateful for coffee, too.

I'm also grateful that I had a day yesterday to work quite a bit in my craftroom and it was our first day of school around here. The kids did well...I'm so grateful.

I'm thankful for all that I have learned during my time of sitting under one of the most gifted Torah scholars in the country.  I thank the LORD for him.  I pray that the LORD bless him and his family abundantly.

I'm grateful that I got to dance a bit at our Rosh Hashanah celebration and that I have good friends who honestly love me.

I am grateful that I got to enjoy some of the best dessert wine I've ever tasted - thanks, Netanya!  It's pretty awesome and so are you!

I am still amazed at the miracle of getting my oven fixed in time to prepare the festival challah for Rosh Hashanah - thank you, LORD!

I am grateful that I'm able to get my car fixed - yay!

I'm ever grateful for a bed to flop into at the end of an exhausting day.

I'm thankful for the inventions of the washing machine, dishwasher, television, electric lighting, hair dryers and flush toilets.  Yeah...it's the little things. :-)

I'm grateful for friends who are patient and willing to listen to my struggles and difficulties.  I'm so thankful that they care for me and don't just tell me to get over it...unless that is really what needs to happen.  They pray for me, comfort me and build me up in ways that could only be from the Father.  I am so very thankful and humbled at their love and support.

“Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses.”

It may seem silly, but after today, I am grateful that I am not a cow, and that I do not have to work with cows here on our farm. However, I am also grateful for the folks who are willing to do so, so that we can enjoy the deliciousness that comes from them.
I am also thankful for the bountiful provisions of our Creator, and the chance to learn about His creation.

Oh, my... as this week comes to a close, I am grateful for the release of tears when sadness comes, and those times of stillness when I hear the Master's voice.

I'm thankful for the overtime Larry had the chance to work this week.

And, I'm grateful for this darned computer - for things like this wonderful blog, the connections I make every day on Facebook and Atlas Quest, and for 'google'.

I love Grateful Fridays!

I'm grateful that no one is asking me to bake brownies or price garage sale items this week. I mean it.

I'm grateful that I don't have to love football. *smile*

With 9/11 anniversaries in mind, I want to remain grateful for the amount of safety and peace that we enjoy.

Thanks for Grateful Fridays, my friend.
