Remembering Rose

You can shed tears that she is gone,
or you can smile because she has lived.

You can close your eyes
and pray that she'll come back,
or you can open your eyes
and see all that she has left.

Your heart can be empty
because you can't see her,
or you can be full of the time you shared.

You can turn your back on tomorrow
and live yesterday,
or you can be happy for tomorrow
because of yesterday.
You can remember her and only that she's gone
or you can cherish her memory
and let it live on.

You can cry and close your mind,
be empty and turn your back,
or you can do what she'd want:

Smile, open your eyes
Love and go on.

My dear friend Rose went to be with our LORD today. No more sorrow, no more pain. Only pure joy and the freedom of being in the presence of the Almighty.

Dearest Rose, I will remember you. I will remember your laugh, your curious mind and your zeal for life. I will continue to be inspired by your study and perseverance. I will hold your memory dear in my heart, for I will be forever honored that I was able to assist in your time of trouble. I would do it all again.

Yes, Rose, I will certainly remember you, my friend.

Though I find some of what you write on this site very hurtful, I want to thank you for posting the beautiful picture of Rose. Dressed in her Yom Kippur (and burial) outfit, it's like she's saying, "I finally made it and thank you for being with me and for everything you did for me." The picture is SO Rose - it helps replace all the painful "dying" images with a very happy "thank you" image. J.H.

On the contrary...your blogs are not hurtful, and only would be to someone who feels convicted by them and sees themselves and their unresolved issues in them. To them it's hurtful, because they can't face the truth inside themselves,so to them, it's an offense, as would be certain parts of scripture.
To those who see their reflection dimly in the mirror of scripture,it's painful.
Keep writing my friend,unhindered.
I love you and your writings.
