Felt like makin' some bean soup out of a wonderful cookbook I bought back when I was cooking quite a bit, Dairy Hollow House Soup & Bread (A Country Inn Cookbook), by Crescent Dragonwagon. Wonderful stories and great recipes, even if they are a little complicated. Above is my personal 'Bean Mix' and below is the herb mix for bean soup...it smells heavenly!
