California or Bust...Day 21

I'm pretty whooped after another long day of driving and sight-seeing, so I'm going to 'bullet it' today.

A beautiful morning in Tucson; 83 degrees and a made-to-order omlette for breakfast...

Stopped to learn a little history at the Case Grande Ruins, with the temp right around 100 degrees...

Enjoyed the Sonoran Desert and was totally amazed at the the Saguaro cactus...

Then, drive, drive, drive to Cali...

Stop at a rest stop and snap some pics of the spatchy-birds...cute, huh?

Finally make it to Joshua Tree Nat'l Park, only to realize that we were dangerously low on gas. So, it was a small side trip to the nearest gas station where we were the only non-Mexican customers. On the way, we found ourselves driving through vineyards...

Made it back to Joshua Tree and truly enjoyed the beauty that is in the two deserts contained there...the Colorado and the Mojave.

the chollah cactus and the Joshua Tree

Back on the road to make it to Victorville for the night, where it was 64 degrees...brrrr!

And for dinner? Can you guess?

64??? I'm shaking my head, my friend.
Your beautiful pics make things look much warmer than that.

Hugs to all -- enjoy California!
