Photo of the Day: Aberdeen

On our way back from the beach yesterday, we stopped in Aberdeen when we saw a couple of tall ships docked - cool! There was a whole crew of young folks painting and cleaning them up. The Lady Washington is the official ship of the State of Washington; she was docked with the Hawaiian Chieftain, which accompanies her on voyages and goodwill missions.

THE LADY WASHINGTON

I just can't stop at one pic, as there are so many other things that catch my eye! Here's some really interesting rope that was laying in a pile...this rope was so fat, I could not have encircled it with my fingers!

And, check out this chain...it was giant-size!

It always makes me chuckle when people do this with shoes...just once I wanna watch how many times it takes for them to get them up there!

This last one is a classic. I wish it were clearer; the hobo (as the kids call 'em) started laughing when he saw me taking his picture!

I heard on Weekday KUOW that shoes (maybe it's just white shoes) over a wire is an indication of the availability street drugs at the house.
